Mr. Garno graduated magna cum laude from both the University of Cincinnati (undergraduate degree) and the University of Toledo College of Law, where he was one of the top ten students and an editor for Law Review. He has had experience as an intern for a Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court as well as one of the largest and most respected law firms in Toledo. He is an honorary member of the Order of the Coif and the American Inns of Court.
Mr. Garno has practiced in most areas of law, including litigation, collections, business law, municipal law, estate planning and probate, bankruptcy and personal injury. He specializes in elder law and Medicaid planning through the firm's elder law division, Heritage Elder Law and Planning. He is a member of the Michigan Bar Association, the Lapeer County Bar Association, and the Imlay City Rotary Club and is an active church member. He is an avid classical guitarist, performs concerts in his local community and has published several books and CD's of classical and Christian music. He lives outside Capac, Michigan with his wife and children.
